Weddings
A wedding is a very special day which we hope that we can bring that little bit extra for you with two options of uniform.
Number 1 uniform is full Highland Ceremonial Dress consisting of Feather Bonnet, Horsehair Sporran, Black Tunic, Cross Belt and Waistbelt, Full Tartan Plaid and Kilt, Tartan Socks with White Spats. This uniform is quite spectacular for a wedding.
There is a less ornamental uniform consisting of Black Glengarry, Jacket and Waistcoat, Kilt, Leather Sporran and Kilt Socks and Ghillie brogues.
Additionally, for great effect, you can add a drummer in full regalia to play alongside the bagpipes.
The following is a list of the most common times a piper plays, but can be altered to suit any requirement.
-
Play as guests arrive
-
Playing as the wedding party arrives
-
The Bride being piped down the aisle
-
Bride and groom being piped out of the service
-
Playing as the Bride and Groom arrive for the reception
-
Play the Wedding Party into the wedding breakfast
-
Followed by the Bride and Groom
-
Then if required piped into the evening reception.
Piperdan played at our wedding and I can’t recommend him highly enough!
He was a true professional all day, played beautifully and looked fantastic in his full attire. A genuinely nice guy who wished us well, congratulated us and interacted with our guests all day - a small thing to take away, but it’s the little touches like that that make a difference!
Great communication from day one right up until the weekend of the wedding, and went out of his way to make things as easy as possible.
Thanks again Daniel
After playing at countless weddings, and seeing many grooms struggling with laces, plaid, kilt etc. I decided to offer a bespoke service, making sure that the groom is looking his best, along with the best man, groomsmen etc. From making sure their kilts are the correct length, their plaid is on point, shoe laces, which are the hardest to get right, are tied correctly and their tie has a nice knot and is straight. There are many bridal services of this kind, so why shouldn't he men folk have the same.

Funerals
A funeral is a time for remembrance, celebration, reflection and thought. The sound of the bagpipes at this time can be very moving and powerful.
I can wear full Number 1 dress for this or a simple Black tie, Black Jacket, Glengarry with plume and black socks.
The following is a list of times I can play
-
As the coffin leaves the church or funeral home
-
From the gates of cemetary to graveside
-
As the remains are lowered
-
As the coffin is being taken into crematorium
-
When the gates or curtains are being closed for the final time
Again, this can be altered to suit the requests of the bereaved and family.
"We had the honour of Daniel playing at our mothers funeral. He piped her into the crematorium and piped the funeral guests out. He was respectful of our wishes with the music and his attire was perfectly fitting. We would highly recommend Piper Dan."

Corporate Events
I have performed at many corporate events from Burns Suppers to Presentation NIghts for the KIltwalk Charity, welcoming Miss Worlds on their visit to Crieff Hydro and the opening of a brand new golf course in Vietnam, playing for Greg Norman. Please get in touch to discuss your needs on your own event and how the sound of the bagpipes can add something a little special.
"Daniel has played the bagpipes at many weddings, corporate events and celebrations at Crieff Hydro. Always professional, well turned out and with a winning personality, he can be depended upon to delight with his wide repertoire and easy rapport."

"Danny made the journey to our Resort for our Grand Opening of the Greg Norman designed golf course. To offer our guests an authentic Scottish experience a links course beckons, Danny was the ideal match. Guests have been talking about Danny and his band for months. The professionalism and pure talent shown by Danny has made him a welcomed guest and performer anytime we have a major event. I would whole heartedly recommend the services of Daniel Sweeney. Great work Danny"
